Information we collect and why
We use your checkout email, order details, payment references, and download counts to deliver and support your purchase, prevent misuse, and keep business records. Stripe processes payment details and the U.S. address used to confirm purchase eligibility. Our website does not store card numbers.
Your wine quiz
We use your quiz answers to calculate your wine personality and your email to send the one-time result you request. Answers and your result are held temporarily in your browser session; we do not add quiz-only participants to our newsletter list. If you choose the newsletter, we also save your quiz personality and the time and wording of your opt-in to personalize a welcome sequence. You can unsubscribe at any time; we stop scheduled marketing and clear the saved personality after an opt-out. Optional newsletter signup is separate. Checking the newsletter box on the quiz subscribes you immediately and sends a welcome email; the standalone newsletter form uses email confirmation. Our website removes sent result-email content after 30 days, along with other sent email content. Unsent messages may remain while delivery problems are investigated. Optional Analytics does not load on the quiz or its result screens.
Optional newsletters
Newsletter signup is optional and separate from a purchase. We record your email and confirmation of your signup. You can unsubscribe using a newsletter’s unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Transactional messages about purchases are separate from marketing.
Cookies and Google Analytics
An essential session cookie keeps your basket and protects forms. With your permission, Google Analytics helps us understand visits to public pages using cookies and information about your browser, device, and page activity. Our Analytics tag does not load on checkout, order, recovery, or private download pages. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in our tag. We do not intentionally send your email, payment details, or private download tokens to Analytics.
You can accept or decline optional Analytics and change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. Declining does not prevent shopping. We also honor the browser’s Global Privacy Control signal by keeping Analytics off. Your cookie choice is saved in your browser for up to six months.
Service providers
We use Stripe for payments, Resend for purchase, quiz-result, and confirmation emails, GoDaddy for hosting, and Google for optional Analytics and web fonts. Google Fonts receives technical information such as your IP address when fonts load. Hosting logs may include IP addresses and requested URLs. These providers process information to operate their services and have their own retention practices. Learn more in Google’s privacy policy, Stripe’s privacy policy, and Resend’s privacy policy. We do not sell customer information or use it for targeted advertising.
How long we keep information
We retain order and payment-reference records for seven years from payment, or creation for unpaid orders, for accounting and support. We keep newsletter details while you remain subscribed; after you unsubscribe, we retain only information needed to honor your opt-out. Sent email content in our website database is removed after 30 days. Unsent messages may be retained while we investigate delivery problems. Stripe, Resend, Google, and our hosting provider may retain their records separately under their own policies.
Your choices and requests
Contact bekah@theunhurriedpour.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, or to unsubscribe. We may need to verify your identity and retain records required for accounting, disputes, or legal obligations. Applicable privacy rights depend on where you live. Cookie settings apply to this browser; you can also delete cookies through your browser settings.
Audience and updates
Our shop serves U.S. customers and our wine content is intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information. We will post policy changes here with an updated effective date.
